Hey! Welcome to my services page. I specialize in novel edits in the genres of fantasy and science fiction (some heist/spy). I also love a good romance subplot. I generally work in the young adult category with a bit of adult sprinkled throughout. I'm probably not the right fit for middle grade or lower. I've listed all my offerings and starting prices below. I look forward to working with you!

At their core, stories help us connect with the world. So let's explore! My goal is to make your voice and your words sing in such a way that it tugs at readers' heartstrings. As a writer myself, I understand how detrimental bad feedback can be. I'm focused on helping you tell your story, not the story I want your book to be.
I tailor my feedback to an industry-based, character-driven perspective. My plot recommendations are directly correlated to character arcs. If you're an emotional storyteller, I'm right there with you.
But most of all, I love cheering authors on. Writing can be a lonely process, and I want to make sure you know how amazing your words are and that the world needs them. You are someone's favourite author. Together we can get that story into the hands of a reader that's been waiting for a book like yours.

Manuscript Packages
MANUSCRIPT CRITIQUE
This service focuses on larger parts of a story. I’ll read through once to assess specific things like pacing, character, plot, flow, consistency, and some stylistic elements. A Manuscript Critique is only a single read and a simplified edit letter emailed to your inbox. This is different from a Developmental Edit which provides comprehensive feedback on multiple areas of a manuscript.
When to use this service:
- Once your first or second draft is complete to assess project viability.
- You've received feedback on a specific aspect of your draft, but you're unsure if it's a necessary change.
- When you know something isn't quite working, but you're unsure what it is.
- When there's a specific element you'd like to address (such as pacing or a certain character's arc).

DEVELOPMENTAL EDIT - LITE
This service focuses on the big picture. I’ll take a look at pacing, character, plot, flow, consistency, and some stylistic elements. A Developmental Edit considers all the aspects of a manuscript that make a book enjoyable. From this read, I’ll provide an edit letter, a chapter-by-chapter outline, inline comments, and 30-days of manuscript support.
Option Lite is just the read and the feedback emailed to your inbox. This option is great for self-starters looking for feedback, but who would like to implement that feedback on their own.
When to use this service:
- Once your first or second draft is complete.
- Later down the road when you know that something isn't quite working, but you're unsure what it is.
- You're querying and getting partial/full requests but then rejections.

DEVELOPMENTAL EDIT - INTENSIVE
This service offers the same options as the Developmental Edit - Lite but with a more hands-on approach. The Intensive option includes one full pass and a partial pass. I will read through your story once and provide feedback. Then we have up to four hour-long video meets to make a revision plan and implement the changes together. You can ask any questions regarding your story, and I will help to brainstorm any changes with you. While these changes are being implemented, I will reread any specific areas that may require more in-depth revision. This is a collaborative effort that will have your story shining.
When to use this service:
- Once your first or second draft is complete, but you know you want help with major story elements.
- When you know something isn't working but you're unsure what, and you'd like help to introduce changes.
- You'd like help implementing beta reader feedback.
- An agent has suggested a revise-and-resubmit.

LINE EDIT
This service is mostly line editing with some light copy edits included. I’ll read the manuscript line-by-line for word choice, phrasing, clarity, sentence structure, and grammar. This edit will make the prose sing and enhance the established voice. My focus here is understandability.
I’ll provide an edit letter outlining strengths and common errors and the manuscript as a Word doc with edits marked by Track Changes. I will also offer 30 days of manuscript support.
When to use this service:
- Once your book has already undergone multiple drafts and stages of feedback (preferably a developmental edit), and the story is completely finished.
- Prior to typesetting and proofreading for self-publishing, or prior to querying for traditional publishing.
*Manuscripts requiring intensive edits may incur additional fees.

DEVELOPMENTAL + LINE EDIT
This service provides two passes of the manuscript. One read for the Developmental Edit, and one read for the Line Edit. In addition, up to five hour-long video calls are available for brainstorming and discussion to help implement changes.
The first read will address big-picture items as listed above. I'll provide an edit letter, a chapter-by-chapter outline, and inline comments. We will meet to make a revision plan, implement changes, and brainstorm any ideas that come up during the process.
Once the developmental stage is complete, I’ll read for line edits. I'll provide a new edit letter and the Word doc with Track Changes.
When to use this service:
- You've completed a first or second draft and sent your book to beta readers, but now you would like help to implement feedback and complete your book.
- You'd like to work with the same editor at multiple stages to prepare your book for publishing.

Query Packages
QUERY EDIT
The Query Edit includes two revisions. I will provide a short edit letter outlining the viability of the project and suggested changes. In addition, I will share a Word doc with Track Changes for grammar, sentence structure, and clarity. Once the initial edits have been made, I will read and provide line-by-line feedback a second time.
When to use this service:
- Before sending out any queries.
- You've been querying for a while but haven't gotten any requests.
A Query Edit is $100 + tax based on 300-500 words. Queries over this word count may incur an extra fee.
SYNOPSIS EDIT
The Synopsis Edit offers two revisions and an optional 30-minute video call to discuss the overall story. Line edits will be provided via Word with Track Changes. An edit letter will also be sent regarding general thoughts on the flow of the story and the overall structure.
When to use this service:
- When a synopsis is complete but before sending out queries.
- During querying for reassurance.
The Synopsis Edit starts at $200 + tax based on 750 words. Synopses over this word count may incur an extra fee.
OPENING PAGES EDIT
This option offers one read on the first three chapters or 10,000 words, whichever comes first. This read will include a Line Edit on the passage provided, as well as a developmental overview. I will provide an edit letter, a Word doc with Track Changes, and a 30-minute video call to discuss the story.
When to use this service:
- Just before querying to solidify your query package.
- While querying if you've received partial requests but then rejections.
This edit is $0.038/word plus a 30-minute video call ($405 + tax for 10k words).
QUERY + SYNOPSIS EDIT
This option offers everything in the Query Edit and Synopsis Edit combined.
When to use this service:
- Before sending out any queries.
- You've been querying for a while but haven't gotten any requests.
The Query + Synopsis Edit starts at $260 + tax based on a query between 300-400 words and a 750-word synopsis. Projects over these word counts may incur an additional fee.
FULL QUERY PACKAGE EDIT
Here, the Query Edit, Synopsis Edit, and Opening Pages Edit are combined with a $60 discount. The price of this package can be lessened by requesting fewer opening pages be reviewed.
When to use this service:
- Before sending out any queries.
- You've been querying for a while but haven't gotten any requests.
The cost is $260 + tax for the query and synopsis, $0.038/word for the opening pages, plus a 30-minute video call. This package offers a $60 discount when the full 10k is being reviewed (for a total of $645 + tax after discount).
À La Carte
GENERAL WRITING/PUBLISHING CONSULT
This À La Carte option is a 60-minute video call to answer any questions you may have about publishing. Whether that's a brainstorming session on a stuck plot point, wondering about the querying process, or how to plan for self-publishing (including the steps involved), I'll do my best to help you through the process.
This option does not include any reading of material. (E.g., no query reviews, no brushing over a couple pages to see about flow, etc.)
The cost is $50 + tax per 60-minute slot.
